We offer you the unique opportunity to test your personal freeride rescue equipment and learn how to use it. To complete the individual preparation our workshop includes a guided freeride downhill run.

Target
Participants learn the basics of avalanche awareness. This enables them to make simpler decisions independently and help to understand interrelationships that are more complex.

- Theory of Freeriding (approx. 1.5 hour)
- Cartography
- Meteorology
- Snow build-up
- Tour preparation based on the avalanche bulletin
- Implementation of theory in open terrain (variant descent)
- Line selection
- Behaviour in mountainous terrain
- Group organisation
- Recognize danger signs and terrain forms
- Lunch break outdoors (in case of bad weather in the restaurant)
- Rescue procedure in case of emergency, handling avalanche beacons, shovels and probes in mountainous terrain
